I don’t know about you, but I love it when I find toys similar to those from my childhood. I was so excited when Cabbage Patch Kids came out again and had to buy one for my niece that year for Christmas. Last year I had to buy myself a little Strawberry Shortcake Doll that I found at Target. She even smelled like strawberries just like the one I had as a kid! My boys had no clue who Strawberry Shortcake was and had no interest. She’s still in her box, but it’s a happy memory of my childhood. I think there is a Strawberry Shortcake cartoon on again. I might have to check it out sometime.
The other day, I saw that Pound Puppies are back! I had seen their cartoon is on again, and my youngest son has watched it a few times. My husband loved Legos and is so excited that my boys love them just as much. Transformers were back in stores again when the movies came out. It’s so fun to have that little bit of nostalgia. What was your favorite toy as a child? Comment below and let us know! Is there a toy from your childhood that one of your kids loves, or that you wish you still had? Here’s a list of Retro toys and products from my childhood that you can still get on Amazon. Maybe one of these would be a fun thing to get for that hard to buy person on your list, or maybe it will bring one of your children as much joy as you had when you played with it as a kid. I’m always looking for new, creative ideas for Christmas presents. I hope you enjoy this list as much as I do. I even just liked looking through all of the old toys on this list.
Caboodles were such a fun way to store things when I was in high school. I remember one of our teachers gave them to us for high school graduation with supplies and personal products in them that we might need for college. It was a really thoughtful gift, and those things were sturdy!

I had this doll called Melody and her hands feet and tummy all played a different note when pressed. I loved attempting to play songs😄
That sounds like a really cool doll.
I didn’t have a Strawberry Shortcake or any cool baby dolls, but I did have an original Raggedy Ann and Andy that I played with and took everywhere I went! Oh times were so simpler.
Dolls were the best.
Pound puppies are the cutest!
I loved my pound puppy. I might have to get my boys one for Christmas.
I love anything Retro! Have a nice holiday!
Thanks, you too!
I loved Strawberry Shortcake when I was a kid. I had all those little dolls. They smelled so nice.
They did smell good. I only had Strawberry, but I had friends that had the whole set of those dolls. I loved going to their house to play with them.
